Afecţiunile metabolice se pot manifesta în special în perioada de nou-născut şi sugar prin: hipoglicemie, insuficienţă cardiacă, hiperlactacidemie primară, insufi cienţă hepatică, convulsii intratabile, deteriorare neuro logică. Autorii prezintǎ principalele manifestǎri ale urgenţelor metabolice şi tratamentul de urgenţǎ.
