REZUMAT

Tuberculoza copilului reprezintă o importantă problemă de sănătate publică. Adesea subdiagnosticată şi ascunzându-se sub simptomatologia altor afecţiuni respiratorii sau extrarespiratorii este diagnosticată uneori tardiv în stadiul de complicaţii ca meningita şi miliara. Medicul de familie şi pediatrul joacă un rol important în stabilirea cât mai rapidă a suspiciunii de tuberculoză, sprijiniţi de o anchetă epidemiologică temeinică.
