Is essential hypertension a difficult diagnosis in children?
ABSTRACT
Essential hypertension is one of the most important health problems all over the world and a great risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. Children are no longer “protected” from this pathology, and age related barrier has been passed in last decades. Nowadays, we are speaking about pediatric morbidity due to essential hypertension. Moreover, children have associated risk factors like obesity, dyslipidemia, and even atherosclerotic changes in arteries.
